To send a gift from the Benefit app, click on the "Send a Gift" in the main menu of the app. Enter the recipient's email being sure to enter it exactly without typos. Choose the retailer and amount. Click "Review Your Gift". Then type a message for the recipient to be included and click Send Your Gift.
This will purchase the gift card and send it to the recipient in their email. Once they click the link to claim the email, you will get a notification. If the recipient is saying they did not receive the gift, be sure to double check the email is exact (from your receipt within the app). Ask the recipient to check their spam. If they are still not seeing the email, let us know. It should arrive within a few minutes after your purchase.
If your recipient is not tech savvy or does not have a smartphone, you can still send them a gift. Just buy a gift card as you normally would. Then, click the email icon under the gift card once it appears. This will email the gift card to you for printing.
You should purchase the gift card the day you want the recipient to receive it when using the "Send a Gift" option within the app. The recipient will need to download the Benefit app since that is where the gift card is stored. They will not have to fully setup their Benefit account unless they want to.
